Role Description

This is a part‑time position (.6 or .8 FTE) for a
Psychosocial Risk Support Specialist
, based in Brisbane, Sydney, or Melbourne. Reporting to the Senior Psychosocial Risk Lead, the role supports the day‑to‑day delivery of client projects and services in psychosocial risk management.

Under the guidance of the
Senior Psychosocial Risk Lead, k
ey responsibilities include providing technical and client support, conducting audits, analysing data, facilitating focus groups and training sessions, and developing practical solutions to workplace challenges. The role also involves troubleshooting client issues and offering evidence‑based advice to strengthen workplace mental health practices. Working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders, the support specialist will contribute to the design and enhancement of psychosocial health and safety programs across diverse organisational settings.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive, "can‑do" attitude and a genuine curiosity about how psychosocial hazards contribute to harm in the workplace. They will be guided by the Senior Lead Consultant in shaping messages that cut through complexity, distil the noise, and deliver clear, simple, and practical solutions that clients can easily understand and apply.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification:
    Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
  • Demonstrated knowledge of
    psychosocial hazards
    and the
    regulatory duties of employers and duty holders
    under the OHS and WHS Acts
  • Strong
    analytical skills
    with the ability to interpret data and identify psychosocial risk factors
  • Excellent
    customer support and communication skills
    to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to
    work collaboratively within teams
    while also exercising independence in solving complex challenges
  • Bachelor's degree
    in Psychology, Occupational Health, or a related discipline (preferred)
  • Prior
    experience in workplace health and safety consulting
    will be highly regarded.
