Dental Receptionist

Are you a highly skilled Dental Receptionist who also shines chairside?

We're looking for an experienced team member with a cheerful and positive, can-do attitude to join our long-standing, family-run practice in Essendon. You'll enjoy working in a supportive, fully digital clinic that values patient care and team culture above all else.

This is a dual role for someone confident in both front-desk reception and chairside assisting, offering variety and professional growth in your day-to-day.

You'll be switching between front office and chairside roles as needed, with responsibilities including:

Reception (Primary Front-of-House Duties)

• Warmly greeting and supporting patients from arrival to departure
• Managing appointments, recalls, and treatment plans
• Handling phone enquiries, payments, and patient accounts
• Explaining procedures and post-care in a clear, compassionate manner
• Additional tasks include rostering, stock management and ordering, treatment-coordination, management reports

Chairside Assisting

• Providing excellent and efficient four-handed dentistry across general, orthodontic, and implant dentistry
• Maintaining infection control standards and surgery stock levels
• Supporting smooth daily operations and enhancing the patient experience

• Minimum 4+ years' experience in a dual dental receptionist/dental assistant role
• A Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting
• A cheerful, calming presence — especially over the phone and at first contact
• Exceptional communication and ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong admin and organisational skills
• Proficiency in dental software (Dentally preferred)
• A growth mindset – open to learning our systems and being mentored
• Full Australian working rights
• Available between 8am–6pm, with option for part-time (2–3 days/week) negotiable
