About the business and the role

We are an established electronic engineering business specialising in safety and artificial intelligence camera systems interfacing with mobile machinery.

This role is a genuine opportunity for the right candidate to work across a variety of products and projects and apply a range of skills both within our workshop and in the field.

The successful applicant  will have a background ideally within the Earthmoving industry.  Competency with electrical control systems and components will be highly regarded.

You will also have the opportunity to work alongside our mechatronics engineers and other auto electricians and trade fitters in state of the art safety solutions and systems.

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and fault finding ability
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read parts diagrams and schematics
  • Some light fabrication skills required such as making brackets and mountings
  • Understanding of circuit diagrams and wiring
  • Installation of electrics and excellent overall electrical skills
  • Ability to liaise with mechanical fitters, engineers and customers alike.

Skills and experience

  • Trade qualified
  • Ability to assemble wiring harnesses
  • Experience in the Earthmoving Industry
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability and Flexibility to work overtime
  • Interstate travel is definitely required
  • A current driver's licence
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Take pride in their work and vehicle
  • Live South Side of Brisbane
  • Be able to work unsupervised
  • Quality of workmanship is a must
  • Stock control and relevant paperwork ability
  • PLC experience would be highly regarded
  • All employees are subject to random drug, alcohol and medical checks.
