Why you will love Working Here
Getting older can mean giving up a lot, your home, your routine, your sense of independence. We don't think it should.
With more than 800 team members and 200 volunteers, we're here to help people keep living the life they love, with reliable in-home and community care, a local team who knows the neighbourhood, and the kind of support that always has time for a cuppa and a chat.
And we look after our team the same way. We offer real support, meaningful recognition, and rewards that reflect the difference you make every day.
Here's what you can expect
- Clear, supported career pathways and training to help you grow
- Full induction and buddy shifts
- Not-for-profit salary packaging ($15,900 per annum)
- Kilometres Reimbursement
- Leave loading to make your time off even more rewarding
- Branded workwear
- Employee referral reward program - because good people know good people
- Fitness Passport - access to gyms and wellness facilities
- Employee Assistance Program - confidential support when you need it
- QLeave — portable long service leave that recognises long-term care work
What you will be doing
Our Support Workers put heart into everything they do. You'll spend your days visiting people in their homes in the Bribie and Caboolture region. No two days look the same, but each one makes a difference.
You'll help with:
- Delivering care that's tailored to each person's needs and Care Plan
- Personal care, mobility support, and medication reminders
- Preparing meals and supporting good nutrition
- Providing respite - whether it's at home or out and about
- Lending a hand with household tasks like cleaning, laundry, bed making, and shopping
- Offering social support that keeps people connected to what (and who) matters most
For this role, you will be required to use your own reliable vehicle to travel to customer homes and help transport the people we support in the community.
Support Worker shifts are typically scheduled Monday to Friday between 7am and 7pm. As a casual team member, we'll work with you to understand your availability and align shifts to suit your lifestyle.
You will Thrive in this role if you
- Love getting to know people and building real, lasting connections
- Show up with compassion, reliability, and respect - every time
- Feel confident working independently while staying connected to your local community
- Genuinely care about helping older Australians live life the way they choose
- Have experience in aged care, disability support, or community work - a Certificate III is great, but heart and know-how matter just as much
- Hold a current Australian Driver's Licence and have a reliable vehicle
- Have (or are happy to get) First Aid, CPR, and a National Criminal History Check
Belonging Starts Here
We believe real care starts with real belonging. That means creating a workplace where everyone - no matter their background, culture, or story - feels seen, respected, and safe to be themselves.
We welcome applications from First Nations people, the LGBTIQA+ community, people with disabilities, and those from culturally diverse backgrounds. Your story matters here.
