Croydon Shire Council is seeking suitably qualified and motivated applicants (ideally a couple) to manage the Croydon Caravan Park on a two-year fixed term contract. This hands-on role is responsible for the day-to-day operation and presentation of one of Croydon's key tourism assets, set in the heart of the stunning Gulf Savannah region.

Located on two hectares, the Park features 49 powered sites, unpowered sites, 22 self-contained ensuite cabins, two amenities blocks, camp kitchens, a swimming pool, and a two-bedroom onsite manager's residence.

The successful applicants will be responsible for bookings, administration, grounds maintenance, cleaning oversight, and compliance with relevant regulations. A strong customer service focus, sound business operations knowledge, and relevant experience in facility management are essential. A furnished 2-bedroom residence, along with covered electricity and phone rental expenses, will be provided to the successful applicant or applicants.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Demonstrated experience in caravan park or facility management, including guest services, grounds upkeep, cleaning oversight, and basic maintenance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven customer service focus.
  • Proficient in using reservation systems (e.g. NewBook), Microsoft Office, and general office administration.
  • Highly motivated, well-organised, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet operational timeframes while adhering to safety, legislative, and compliance standards.
  • Strong teamwork ethic, fostering a positive workplace culture based on respect and professionalism.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with Council staff, contractors, and visitors.
  • Current Class 'C' Manual Driver's Licence required; First Aid/CPR, pool maintenance or machinery tickets desirable.
  • Commitment to Council's Code of Conduct, cybersecurity awareness, record-keeping practices, and continuous improvement.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience in caravan park or facility management
  • Pool maintenance certification
  • Current First Aid & CPR Tickets to operate plant and maintenance equipment
