At Mackay Regional Council, we're offering a unique opportunity to play an integral role in the design delivery of the region's Capital Works Program. As Design Coordinator, you'll lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary team delivering innovative, community-focused infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage designers, engineers and technical staff within the Design team.
• Ensure timely and efficient completion of allocated projects.
• Contribute to strategic and operational planning, workforce planning, and budgeting.
• Develop and manage an extensive engineering design program supporting Council's Capital Works program.
• Manage design contracts to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Significant experience in engineering design advisory services.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and design principles.
• Current C Class Driver's Licence.

Desirable Skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in project management and contract administration.
• Ability to develop and implement operational policies and procedures.

• Base annual salary of $ 130,539.86 to $147,502.45 based on experience
• Up to 18% superannuation (conditions apply).
