THE ROLE

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress
  • Engage in daily production and pre-start meetings
  • Provide hands-on support to the blue-collar team as needed, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
  • Provide leadership and direction to workshop staff by offering ongoing training & support
  • Ensure all work complies with quality standards by implementing checks and addressing any defects or concerns
  • Optimise the use of resources, including labour, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient operations
  • Oversee the upkeep and servicing of workshop equipment
  • Prepare reports on workshop performance
  • Establish maintenance plans and prioritise workload
  • Review and interpret work packs
  • Liaise with the Workshop Checker
  • Promote a cooperative and positive work environment that encourages teamwork and boosts staff morale

ABOUT YOU

  • Trade Certificate
  • 5 years minimum supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (Oil & Gas experience is preferred)
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working within the Microsoft office
  • Interpret complex isometrics, fabrication drawings and welding procedures
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret the detailed timelines, tasks, and activities associated with workshops and construction/project sites
