Vision Freight Systems is seeking a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in the Brisbane depot and take control of the fleet maintenance.

Vision Freight Systems specialises in express and general freight servicing North Queensland daily from Brisbane.  We are a family owned & operated Company with over 20 years' experience in the Road Transport Industry. We currently have over 70 employees across 5 locations.  Our Brisbane depot operates a fleet of 50 plus vehicles including prime movers, rigid body trucks and trailers.

We are currently seeking highly motivated individual to join our team:

Role: Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

Location: The location of employment will be at our Rocklea Depot,

The position will include duties such as but will not be limited to:

  • Taking responsibility of the Brisbane based fleet
  • Carrying out vehicle inspections and maintenance
  • Ability to diagnose & action mechanical faults
  • Schedule all servicing for dealer serviced vehicles
  • Maintaining a safe, organised workshop and work area
  • Ensuring that all paperwork is compliant with administration procedures

In order to be successful in this role you must possess the following skills, attributes and qualifications:

  • Trade qualifications as a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic (essential)
  • Experience with American, European & Japanese Vehicles
  • Welding and Fabrication experience would be an advantage
  • Ability to document, record and track servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to OH&S/WHS policies, procedures and regulations
  • Reliable and honest
  • Great work ethic
