About the role

As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or 4th Year Apprentice at Bells Diesel Repairs Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining a wide range of heavy vehicles, light trucks and trailers.

This full-time role is based in Brisbane, QLD, and will have you working as part of a skilled team of professionals.

This role is a mobile service role.

What you'll be doing

  1. Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues in heavy vehicles
  2. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition
  3. Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide high-quality service
  4. Maintain detailed records of all work performed
  5. Assist with the training and mentoring of junior mechanics and apprentices
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and technologies

What we're looking for

  1. Formal qualifications in automotive mechanics, with a focus on heavy vehicles
  2. At least 1 year of experience as a heavy vehicle mechanic, or completion of a 4th year apprenticeship
  3. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  4. Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  5. A commitment to safety and attention to detail
  6. A passion for the automotive industry and a desire to continually learn and grow
