mecwacare is looking for experienced and dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join the friendly team at mecwacare's Simon Price Centre in Mont Albert North location, with a focus on AM PM shifts. In this rewarding role, you'll provide high-quality, compassionate care that supports the dignity, comfort, and wellbeing of our client's in a modern, state-of-the-art aged care home.

Our stunning new 100-bed facility features spacious private rooms and suites—many with balconies and beautiful views across Melbourne—along with inviting communal lounges, a cinema, cafe, library, wellbeing salon, and landscaped outdoor areas. What you bring:

  • A minimum Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or a relevant Certificate III/IV qualification.
  • At least 4–5 years of relevant experience in an aged care home, ideally with proven skills in mentoring and supporting other carers.
  • Availability to work AM and PM shifts, including weekdays and weekends with occasional night shifts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with older people and their families.
  • The ability to understand and follow individual client care plans.
  • Sound problem-solving skills and the judgement to know when to escalate issues to a supervisor.
  • Proven time management and multi-tasking abilities.
  • A proactive, dedicated approach to delivering best-practice care.
  • A strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Flexibility to adapt to workplace demands and a collaborative team spirit.
