Convergint is seeking an ambitious and sales-driven Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team in Sydney NSW. About the Role:
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding Convergint's presence in the NSW market. You'll focus on creating and implementing sales strategies to drive new business and secure partnerships in network, audio-visual, and security systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Market Expansion: : Identify potential markets and customers, through proactive prospecting, networking and market research. Develop strategies that differentiate the company from competitors, leading to new business opportunities. Establish and implement strategies to expand the customer base in a specified vertical market or geographic location. Find new and creative ways of engaging with customers. Responsible for capturing the attention of potential customers and presenting new solutions and services that the company has to offer.
- Pipeline Development: Build and manage a strong sales pipeline by engaging with decision-makers and closing deals.
- Client Engagement: Cultivate relationships with potential clients and present tailored technology solutions.
- Presenting & Closing: Prepare and present proposals and pitches for prospects, handle objections, and lead negotiations to secure new business.
- Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends and competitors to refine sales strategies.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to assess sales performance.
Overall, you'll play a crucial role in developing new business and contributing to Convergint's continued success.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum of five to seven years of successful business development or sales experience in the technology sector, including two years in the area of commercial technology market IT, Electronics & Communication.
- Experience in electronic security, ICT or other technology fields is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills. Expertise in relationship-building, negotiation, and client management. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related fields preferred.
- Personal Traits: A driven, adaptable sales "hunter" who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys opening new markets and building long-term partnerships.
- NV1 clearance preferable
