What's the role? 

The Service Owner –  Product and Partnerships & Risk is accountable for the strategic direction, commercial performance, and governance of Personal Loans products and partnerships. This role leads the development of customer value propositions (CVPs), product roadmaps, and partnership frameworks to deliver sustainable growth, customer outcomes, and risk-aligned performance. It requires strong leadership across cross-functional teams, external partners, and senior stakeholders. This role is also responsible for Line 1 Risk for the PLs business. 

Role responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and evolve Personal Loans Customer Value Propositions, set product roadmaps, and drive portfolio performance through pricing, features, and P&L accountability.
  • Innovation & Transformation: Champion simplification, digitisation, and transformation initiatives to enhance customer and banker experience.
  • Partnership Management: Develop and oversee third-party partnership strategies, including sourcing, negotiation, onboarding, and performance aligned with customer, commercial, and regulatory outcomes.
  • Governance & Risk: Maintain robust product governance, lead risk and control initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal frameworks.
  • People & Stakeholder Engagement: Lead and coach a high-performing team, foster collaboration across squads, and influence senior stakeholders across the value chain.

What do I need?

  • Extensive experience in product management (with experience in credit or lending highly desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing product CVPs and roadmaps
  • Strong commercial acumen with confidence in contract negotiation and partnership delivery
  • Deep understanding of product governance and risk frameworks
  • Commercial and analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action
  • People Leadership experience
