Disability Support Workers

Spring Lifestyle Supports is a non-profit, registered NDIS provider based on the northern Sunshine Coast. We are seeking expressions of interest from passionate, experienced disability support workers who are keen to join us in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with a range of disabilities, often with complex care needs.
We have immediate need to fill some casual shifts, and anticipate more ongoing casual work to be available to candidates who are the best fit for our clients. Please note, we are unable to offer full time hours at this time, so the role/s would ideally suit someone seeking part time work only, or someone currently working in the industry but seeking to add to their current work roster.
Support needs differ from person to person, buy may include:
- assisting with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing;
- supporting people with meal preparation, grocery shopping, and other daily living tasks; and
- assisting with community access, including accompanying people to appointments, social events, and recreational activities.
Ideally, the person/s we are seeking will have:
- a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to person-centred care;
- relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience in disability and/or aged care (manual handling/hoisting and/or epilepsy training highly regarded);
- strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients;
- patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to the unique needs of each client;
- a positive, reliable, and flexible approach to work as shifts may include weekday, weekend or sleepovers;
- current NDIS worker screening clearance, first aid and CPR certificates; and
- some roles require you to have a current driver's licence and a reliable, fully insured vehicle.
