Job DescriptionThe Duty Technician supports the Chief Engineer in maintaining all building systems, plant and equipment, and ensuring the hotel environment remains functional, safe, and pleasant for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily plant rounds, identify faults, and report or initiate necessary repairs.

Maintain mechanical and water systems to ensure continuous reliability and availability.

Complete scheduled maintenance as per the Property Management System (PMS).

Record and report maintenance tasks and support documentation of repairs.

Liaise with departments and contractors to reduce downtime in guest and public areas.

Operate safely while using electrical tools, handling equipment, or performing physical tasks (e.g., climbing ladders, lifting).

Ensure adherence to EPA, PPE standards, and WHS regulations.

Promote and practise sustainable work habits in line with Accor's environmental commitments.

Attend to guest requests professionally, supporting the Heartist service culture.

Actively communicate during briefings and complete all required training on Accor platforms.

Participate in emergency procedures, safety drills, and uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Represent Accor professionally, promoting services and living company values.
Knowledge & Experience:
-
Experience in building maintenance, engineering, or construction.

Trade qualifications (preferred).

Hospitality industry or hotel/resort experience (preferred).

Skilled in operating maintenance tools and equipment.

Proficient in written and verbal English communication.
