The Role

We are seeking a leader who is passionate and driven and delivers exceptional results through strong people development and engagement.

The role oversees night shift operations and provides leadership as well as fostering continuous improvement in loading and manufacturing efficiencies, all while maintaining a strong customer focus and is based Maddington, WA.

Your role is crucial in driving Zero Harm, supporting change, accountability, and problem-solving to achieve outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

• Safety is our number ONE priority. You will ensure the operation supports our successful pathway towards a national target of Zero Harm.
• Execute efficient loading activities and ensure timely departure of all planned loads.
• Direct night shift activities to achieve business objectives, reduce costs, increase profits, and drive volume growth.
• Collaborate with 3rd party logistics, supply chain, and other shifts to support and oversee outcomes aligned with the national operations strategy.
• Assist with the implementation and sustainment of continuous improvement and Lean initiatives to enhance customer service and plant efficiency.
• Support manufacturing, supply chain, order fulfilment, and sales functions by promoting cross-team and cross-shift communication and activities.
• Participate in monthly reviews of results and develop strategies to maximize margins through cost reduction, increased market share, and profitability improvements.
• Ensure a consistent approach to shift performance, including cross-skilling of teams and individuals.
• Build a culture of teamwork and drive engagement.

About you

• Demonstrated leadership experience in a production environment, with a proven track record of managing and motivating teams to achieve high performance and outcomes.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to develop and support the growth of team members.
• Experience in overseeing night shift operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and productivity standards are consistently met.
• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and load restraint standards, with the ability to enforce compliance and best practices.
• Resilient and adaptable leader who can effectively manage and resolve conflicts, and maintain a positive work environment during night shifts.
• Outcome-focused with a strategic mindset, capable of driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
