ABOUT THE ROLE

The Trade Desk & Sales Team Member is the face of Dahlsens when our builders and trade customers walk into our stores. You will assist customers with product knowledge and enquiries, process quotes and orders via email/phone and in person. You will be responsible for stock control, putting stock away, keeping stock replenished and displayed in a neat and tidy manner.  You may be asked to assist other team members with product enquiries relating to customer orders to ensure we provide the best service possible.

You will report to the Branch Manager who will provide ongoing support, guidance, and continued development in your role.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

• Deliver outstanding customer service by promptly addressing enquiries and resolving issues to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Develop strong product and service knowledge to provide tailored recommendations that best suit customer needs.
• Proactively engage in sales, using expertise to suggest suitable products and services that align with customer requirements.
• Accurately process orders, prepare quotes, and manage sales transactions in a timely and efficient manner.
• Coordinate deliveries, ensuring customer orders are dispatched in full and on schedule.
• Assist with merchandising and product replenishment to maintain a well-presented and fully stocked sales area.
• Conduct routine inventory checks to support accurate stock levels and assist with inventory control.
• Perform general administrative tasks, including handling phone and email enquiries, and supporting the Branch Manager as required.
• High awareness of site safety and duty of care for your team, staff and site visitors
• Finally have a 'hands on' with a 'can do' attitude

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Background in a Warehouse, Logistics, Trade & Building Services environment.
• Forklift Licence (mandatory)
• Construction INduction White Card (mandatory)
• 3+ years' experience in similar role (desirable)
• Has worked in an administrative role.
• Has experience with computer systems, has used mathematical calculations.
• Has delivered to deadlines.
