About The Opportunity
We are seeking a Workshop Supervisor to join our FMG Solomon Site. This role is responsible for the maintenance of the varied range of onsite mobile equipment ensuring the fleet achieve maximum availability for the project. You will provide leadership and direction to all maintenance personnel, with a focus on maintaining a safe, reliable and productive crew.

  • Roster: 8/6 day shift only
  • Environment: bulk earthworks and mining services
  • Fleet consists of new CAT 336 excavators CAT D9 dozers, kenworth semi water carts and ancillary equipment

*About You*

  • Extensive supervisory experience in mining or bulk earthworks
  • Minimum 2 years previous mine site supervison experience
  • Ability to obtain S26 qualification in near future, preference S26 qualified
  • Strong safety-focused approach to work
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Effective communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to lead, develop, and mentor crews
  • White Card - essential
  • Australian working rights - essential
  • C Class Manual Licence, essential - HR/HC Licence preferred
  • Ability to utilise basic Microsoft suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Ability to manage internal CMMS
  • Certificate III Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent Trade Certificate required

As The Workshop Supervisor Managing Workshop Personnel, You Will*

  • Lead, coach and develop team members by setting clear expectations, monitoring performance and mentoring others
  • Manage and execute maintenance work using efficient equipment servicing strategies to achieve targeted service times while prioritising project requirements
  • Strong knowledge and exposure working on Caterpillar, Komatsu, Kenworth and ancillary mining and construction equipment
  • Have extensive experience in breakdowns, diagnostics and repair abilities across all mobile fleet
  • Demonstrable leadership, communication and people management skills
