About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Hairdresser to join our professional salon team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality hairdressing services, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and maintaining the salon's professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to identify their hair care needs, preferred styles, and desired outcomes.

  • Wash, shampoo, and condition clients' hair, applying specialised treatments or scalp therapies as required.

  • Cut, trim, and shape hair using scissors, clippers, razors, and modern techniques to achieve desired styles.

  • Apply professional colouring, bleaching, toning, straightening, and perming services while adhering to safety standards.

  • Create and style various looks including blow-dries, curls, updos, dreadlocks, braids, and extensions.

  • Provide expert advice on hair care routines, suitable styles, and appropriate salon or retail products.

  • Perform relaxing head massages and recommend aftercare treatments.

  • Maintain hygiene and cleanliness by sterilising tools and sanitising work areas after each service.

  • Keep the salon and workstation neat, organised, and presentable at all times.

  • Manage appointments, process payments, and maintain accurate client records.

  • Assist with cleaning, colouring, cutting, and styling wigs and hairpieces when required.

  • Support the overall operations of the salon by contributing to a friendly and professional environment.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent qualification.

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a qualified Hairdresser.

  • Excellent technical skills in cutting, colouring, and chemical treatments.

  • Strong communication and client service skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy salon environment.

  • Commitment to maintaining hygiene, safety, and quality standards.
