This strategic position is responsible for the management of specific product portfolio as it relates to both upstream and downstream activities. This key contributor must work cross-functionally within the organization and effectively with external stakeholders (e.g., Key Opinion Leaders) to execute company product development and manage all aspects of product commercialization support. They must also be capable of contributing to the evolution of the organization as new products, procedure types, and business methods gain adoption.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of specific product line of Genea Biomedx, and working cross-functionally & regionally with various stakeholders internally and externally (e.g., IVF embryologists, sales & field service, product development, supply chain & operations, regulatory affair, marketing, and device manufacturers, etc.)
  • Support and drive 3 – 5-year strategic plans for the product line and develop the potential for synergistic devices and strategic partnerships to broaden adoption and market share for the product.
  • Lead market assessment, product development, commercialization strategy, and all required activities throughout their product life cycle, including but not limited to initial strategic assessment of the respective opportunities, competitive landscape and how each pre-release preparation, regulatory affair plannings, product launch, application trainings, post-launch observations/trouble shooting, and product retirement strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the marketplace. Activities include developing various presentations, attending trade shows and conferences, inquiry handling, etc. Partner with regional marketing team to identify appropriate KOLs that could support new product development and provide valuable feedback on products and market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regional commercial team by supporting demos and developing tactical plans to drive adoption and commercial success.
  • Play a central role to provide clinical, technical, and market knowledge in the product line.
  • Collaborate closely with and stay actively engaged in future pipeline discussions together with research team, KOLs, application support, service, and regional marketing personnel. Stay solution-focused and positively suggest product improvements and innovation.
  • Work closely with marketing team and development counterparts to share best practices and leverage successes in all regions.
  • Work with regional sales leadership, product application team, and field service engineers in the management of field initiatives.
  • Provide technical assistance to product application team and filed service team who have T2/ T3 technical questions or trouble shooting problems. Communicate expert opinions on behalf of company products and offer possible solutions to the problems.
  • Support training on manufacturer's requirements of the product line.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, major in bioengineering preferred.
  • Recommended 5 years of work experience in a product management/product marketing capacity.
  • Minimum 3 years of medical device experience, IVF laboratory device preferred.
  • Highly focused and results-oriented; able to identify goals and priorities and resolve issues in initial stages.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a close team environment, self-starter who can motivate others, influence without authority, and promotes a strong sense of urgency.
  • Possess exceptional communication/interpersonal, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to calculate, balance, analyze sales and marketing data, prepare detailed reports and report data.

Travel:

  • Availability to travel, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time. some international travel may be required.
