About the Team
Our Structures Team focuses on the design of structures that deliver our clients' requirements and make a positive difference to the community. The team delivers value engineering solutions by creating structures with performance efficiencies and draws on market and industry connections to make things happen.
We provide a range of services across Australia in multiple sectors, focusing on the development of safe, considered and innovative solutions to the most challenging problems encountered in the construction of projects. Our team pride themselves on working seamlessly with project stakeholders, ensuring no solution is developed in isolation and without consideration of the potential implications on other areas of the project.
About the Role
Our Hobart office is currently seeking to appoint an Associate Engineer with significant engineering design experience, strong communication skills and the desire to mentor developing engineers within the group. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects in a client facing capacity, provide structural engineering expertise and ensuring the highest standards of quality.
We are looking for someone with …
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Chartered member (CPEng) of Institute of Engineers Australia
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ)
- Ideally 10+ years demonstrated experience in structural engineering
- Strong understanding of Australian design codes and standards
- Demonstrated experience at a senior level of project design and commercial outcomes for projects
- Experience in writing tenders and proposals, leading projects and communicating with clients
- An innovative and out of the box attitude to solutions and designs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Desire to develop their own team and client base
- Desire to win work with support from the Structures Team
