About the Role:

As a Maintenance Plan Advisor, you'll be instrumental in delivering quality advice and consultancy services related to facilities planning, asset management, and infrastructure operations. You'll provide strategic guidance and support to schools, educational centres, and other community stakeholders, ensuring that maintenance and capital works projects are executed to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert advice on facilities planning, investment, and asset management to educational institutions and regional centres.
  • Coordinating with regional facilities teams, internal stakeholders, and external service providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitoring and managing capital works and maintenance projects to ensure they stay within scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Collaborating with senior management to develop strategies for improving the physical assets of facilities.
  • Preparing detailed reports, ministerial responses, and briefing materials for senior officers.
  • Conducting operational audits on physical assets and ensuring they meet compliance and quality standards.
  • Contributing to the professional development of regional staff in areas of facilities and asset management.

About You:

You will have a strong background in facilities management or a related field and a proven ability to provide strategic advice and support in managing infrastructure. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to solve problems and ensure projects run smoothly.

What You'll Bring:

  • Significant experience in facilities planning, asset management, and maintenance services (experience in education or public sector environments is highly regarded).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide high-level consultancy and support across diverse teams.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring all deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Proven experience in preparing reports, briefing documents, and other strategic materials for senior management.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, delivering services to clients with a focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
