Program Facilitator

About the role
As a Program Facilitator, you will plan, deliver, and evaluate programs that support children and young people with a care experience. You'll work face-to-face and online, with occasional regional travel, to ensure young people across the Northern Territory can access our programs.
In this role, you'll:
- Facilitate in-person and online programs and activities for children and young people.
- Build strong connections with young people through face-to-face engagement, social media, email, and phone communication.
- Collect and report evaluations from participants to measure program impact.
- Maintain accurate records in our database, including participation details and returned mail management.
- Engage with the child protection sector (government, caseworkers, NGOs) to promote membership and program participation.
- Support Young Consultants in leadership and advocacy opportunities.
- Assist with general office administration, including data collection, event RSVPs, and mail-outs.

About you
You're creative, engaging, and passionate about working with children and young people. You thrive in a dynamic environment, love facilitating programs, and are committed to making a positive impact. With strong communication skills and a trauma-informed approach, you're ready to connect, empower, and inspire young people with a care experience. You have:
- Relevant experience within the sector or similar field, with a tertiary education (University Degree and/or Diploma) in a relevant field including Social Work, Social Sciences, Youth Work, Community Development, Event Management, Human Services, Psychology, Communications highly regarded.
- An understanding of trauma-informed practice and the National Child Safe Standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and problem-solving.
- Excellent IT literacy and database management skills.
- The ability to work respectfully with First Nations communities and within a culturally safe framework.
- Experience in planning and delivering workshops and events for young people.
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
