This is an opportunity for a Junior Maintenance Officer to join our Sandy Valley Orchard maintenance team. This role is pivotal to our almond operation. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter who is motivated to learn in a dynamic workshop environment.

Duties include but not limited to

• Assist in maintaining and repairing harvest plant equipment
• Assist in maintaining and repairing plant and processing equipment
• Perform breakdown maintenance
• Detect problems by performing basic diagnostic testing on equipment
• Test malfunctioning machinery to determine whether major repairs are needed and make recommendations as necessary
• Manage and adhere to the programmed maintenance schedule
• Record all maintenance activities

Essential Criteria, Skills and Experience

• Maintenance experience
• Driver's Licence
• Forklift licence is beneficial but not essential

• Competitive hourly rate: $34+ per hour plus overtime and penalty rates.

What You Should Know About Our Operations

Our business is widespread, growing walnuts and almonds in the Riverina Region in New South Wales, pecans in Moree and macadamias, avocados, and mangoes in Bundaberg, Queensland. In addition to fruit and nut growing, we also operate apiaries located in Temora, Nowra and Dubbo.

Off the paddock, we operate nut processing and packing facilities in Leeton, Toowoomba and Bundaberg as well as fruit packing and processing in Bundaberg. In addition, our shared services teams (Finance, Sales, ESG, Safety and People & Culture) are located across all of our sites as well as the Brisbane, Melbourne and Griffith offices.
