The Role

Velmec Automotive is seeking an experienced and qualified Automotive Technician to join our growing team in Gympie, Queensland. As a full-time Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality vehicle maintenance and repair services to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of passenger and light commercial vehicles
  • Perform scheduled maintenance services such as log book servicing, timing belts, cooling system, suspension and brake repairs and safety inspections
  • Use the latest diagnostic equipment and tools to efficiently identify and resolve vehicle issues
  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with co workers
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic (Cert lll)
  • Minimum 1 years of experience as an Automotive Technician, preferably in a similar workshop environment
  • Proven ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle makes and models
  • Strong technical skills and a comprehensive understanding of automotive systems and technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Commitment to providing high-quality customer service
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
