Malanda Seafood is a family-owned business passionate about delivering premium wild-caught seafood to our community. We're looking for a motivated Assistant Retail Manager (2IC) with a strong attention to detail and a positive can-do attitude to join our team.

What You'll Do
  • Support the business owner with day-to-day store operations.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service with confidence and product knowledge (training provided).
  • Assist with stock control, merchandising, and store presentation. Stock packaging and rotation (no processing or freezer room work).
  • Cash handling and POS operations.
  • Maintain records and adhere to workplace health & safety standards.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing orders and deliveries.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous retail or food industry experience (supervisory/2IC experience highly regarded).
  • Strong customer service & communication skills.
  • Reliable, organised, and able to work independently when needed.
  • Team player with a keen eye for detail and a can-do attitude.
  • Physically fit – able to lift up to 15kg within a fast paced environment.
  • Availability for weekdays and occasional Saturday (negotiation of hours between 24-36 hours per week for the successful applicant).
  • Applicant committing to completing the busy Christmas season (performance bonuses available).
