LAND MAINTENANCE OPERATOR

The Bloomfield Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Land Maintenance Operator to support the safe, effective and efficient maintenance of Bloomfield land across Maitland, Ashtonfield and Black Hill areas.

The successful candidate will be an experienced civil equipment operator with a wide variety of other maintenance skills.

This is a full-time permanent position paying a minimum of $41.54 p/h, with excellent flexible work options available.

About the role

The Bloomfield Group is seeking to appoint a Land Maintenance Operator committed to providing a high level of care to ensure that land is effectively maintained to a high standard. The role, reporting to the Four Mile Manager and working closely with our Kings and Four Mile teams, will be required to liaise with a variety of stakeholders to safely coordinate the care and maintenance of Bloomfield Group land resources across Maitland, Ashtonfield and Black Hill areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate small civil equipment including backhoe, small excavator and skid steer
• Ensure that a high standard of housekeeping and equipment care is maintained in all tasks and across the Bloomfield, Kings/Four Mile sites
• Inspect and repair perimeter and internal fencing, rail loop roads, site access tracks and fire trails
• Support land development and livestock management on these areas

About You

We are looking for a motivated individual who is looking for an exciting and diverse role in land maintenance. The ideal candidate should be safety focused, have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, highly customer focused, and strong communication skills. You will have a NSW driver's license and be an experienced civil equipment operator, able to operate a backhoe, small excavator and skid steer.  Ideally you will have previous experience in installing and maintaining rural fencing. Your demonstrated commitment to adhere to all relevant rules and regulations will help you succeed in the role as will your ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders.

Other criteria include:

• 3+ years experience as a civil equipment operator
• Current C-Class Drivers licence
• Light Rigid (LR) or Medium Rigid (MR) Licence - Desirable
• WorkCover High Risk Forklift Licence - Desirable
• High focus on customer service
• Ability to work autonomously and to meet strict deadlines
• A team-oriented approach to achievement of tasks
• Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
