Workday Consultant / Senior Consultant / Managing Consultant – Australia
Location: Australia – Remote (Home-based with occasional on-site visits to Sydney or Melbourne)
About the Role:
Join our team and help shape the Workday experience for some of the most exciting customers in the ecosystem. We are looking for certified, experienced Workday consultants who thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy working with global clients. This role is primarily remote-based across Australia, with occasional on-site visits to Sydney or Melbourne as required (visa support available for local hire).
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers at all levels to translate technical concepts into actionable, understandable business outcomes.
- Lead and guide Workday projects across multiple stages (discovery, solution design, configuration, testing, migration, deployment, hypercare).
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) or lead on discrete project components, providing functional and technical guidance.
- Mentor and develop junior consultants, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth.
- Drive results in ambiguous environments, ensuring project timelines, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive solutions and smooth project delivery.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 3 years' experience working with Workday in customer-facing or system integrator roles.
- Holds current Pro Services Certification across at least two Workday modules, or one certification with demonstrated deep knowledge of additional modules.
- Hands-on consulting and configuration experience across multiple end-to-end projects (Phase 1 to Phase X / Optimisation).
- Experience contributing meaningfully to multiple project stages on multiple occasions.
- Demonstrated ability to act as lead/SME on discrete project components.
- Skilled at mentoring and developing others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive outcomes in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent spoken and written English with exemplary presentation skills.
- Willing and able to relocate within Australia if required; able to work as a local hire (visa support available).
- Comfortable with remote/home across Australia working but able to travel to customer sites in Sydney or Melbourne as required.
