Child Care Director – Full-Time

Location: Sutherland Shire

Child Care Australia United Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation with a proud history of providing high-quality education and care services across the Sutherland Shire. We operate 5 Before and After School Care services and 2 Long Day Care centres, fostering a strong sense of community and belonging with families, schools, and local groups.

We are seeking a hands-on, passionate Director to lead one of our small child care centres. This role requires a self-motivated leader with a positive attitude who can inspire and mentor a team, build strong relationships with families, and ensure high-quality, compliant practices. The successful candidate will work on the floor with children and educators most days, while also having some designated office days to manage administrative and operational responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and support educators to reach their full potential.
  • Build trusting relationships with children, families, and the community.
  • Ensure compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law, Regulations, and National Quality Framework.
  • Conduct regular compliance and quality checks and implement best practices.
  • Balance hands-on engagement on the floor with office-based administrative duties on designated days.
  • Work closely with the Director of Operations to achieve service goals.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the National Law & Regulations, NQF, and approved learning frameworks (including the Early Years Learning Framework).
  • Bachelor of early childhood education (0-5)
  • Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Completed (or willingness to complete) Child Protection Training.
  • Proven leadership skills in an early childhood or OSHC setting.
