National Account and Business Development Manager - NSW & ACT

Strategic Growth | Lead Key Relationships | National Impact

Shred-X, part of the Freightways Group - one of Australasia's largest logistics and information management organisations - is seeking a driven and strategic National Account and Business Development Manager to lead our expansion across NSW and ACT.

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute National Account & Business Development Manager to lead strategic account management, drive new business opportunities, and deliver sustainable revenue growth across Australia.

You will manage high-value national and state-based accounts, nurture long-term client partnerships, and identify opportunities for expansion into new sectors and markets. Your role will balance the retention and growth of existing customers with securing new business through proactive relationship-building and solution-focused sales strategies.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and execute strategic account management plans to strengthen relationships, increase revenue, and deliver outstanding client outcomes.
  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities in line with company growth objectives.
  • Lead contract negotiations, tender submissions, and proposal development for key accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and exceed customer expectations.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform business development strategies.
  • Meet or exceed revenue, retention, and growth targets across national portfolios.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in account management or client services - ideally in information management, secure destruction, waste & recycling or transport industries.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow high-value customer accounts.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional relationship management, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Results-driven, with a passion for delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and influence at all levels.
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements and contractual frameworks is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
