The Role:
This isn't your typical policy-processing role. It's your chance to own your portfolio, build lasting client relationships and deliver real, strategic risk advice that makes a difference.
You'll work with a dynamic mix of SMEs, lower mid-market clients, backed by inbound and outbound leads, smart automation and the tools to proactively develop your book.

What a Typical Day Looks Like:
- Review upcoming renewals and client actions
- Consult with clients via Teams/Zoom to assess their business risks
- Negotiate coverage and pricing with underwriters
- Supporting clients through the claims process
- Conduct a gap analysis on an existing client's insurance program
- Strategic planning for outbound prospecting
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and retain a portfolio of SME and mid-market clients
- Convert warm inbound leads and initiate outbound opportunities
- Deliver tailored insurance advice across key product lines
- Oversee the full policy lifecycle: quoting, placement, renewals, endorsements, and basic claims
- Maintain high compliance and accurate client records
- Work with insurers and underwriters to negotiate competitive outcomes
- Contribute to internal improvements and mentor junior team members
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing commercial insurance clients
- Minimum 3-4 years of commercial insurance client management experience required
- Technical understanding of ISR, Financial Lines, Cyber and Liability cover
- Tier 1 Broking qualification (or Tier 2 with intent to complete Tier 1)
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in digital platforms, broking tools and CRM systems
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and commercially minded
- Australian work authorisation is required for this position
