Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant

Our Client
Well established and well respected privately owned international freight forwarder and customs brokerage who is proud of its reputation of high staff retention and customer focused service success.
The Position
Reporting the Managing Director and supporting the senior management team your role will be varied.
- Process accounts payable and receivable and follow up outstanding payments
- Reconcile bank and foreign currency statements
- Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy
- Complete journal entries
- Reconcile company asset accounts
- Check and pay overseas agents
- Prepare financial statements
- Liaise with internal departments and clients to resolve discrepancies
The Requirements
To be considered you require:
- Freight forwarding accounts experience
- Mature outlook and work ethic
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexible "can do" attitude
