We support children, young people and families, people with disability, older people and people with mental illness. We work with people who are homeless and refugees and asylum seekers. Join a community of people dedicated to breaking down barriers.

We want to employ people who reflect the diversity of our clients to ensure we can support each client's individual needs and wants. We encourage people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background and people with disability to apply.

About the Role

Join our Springwoodoffice as an MST Clinical Supervisor, leading a team of up to four clinicians in delivering the evidence-based Multisystemic Therapy (MST) model to support young people (11–17) with offending behaviours. This full-time permanent role involves providing clinical supervision, managing a small caseload, and collaborating with stakeholders like youth justice and schools to drive systemic change. You'll ensure program fidelity, contribute to quality improvement, and foster clinician development in a dynamic, supportive environment dedicated to transforming lives.

About the MST Program

Multisystemic Therapy (MST) is a globally recognised, research-backed model targeting anti-social and offending behaviours in youth through tailored interventions across family, peer, school, and community systems. As a supervisor, you'll champion this model to achieve lasting outcomes for young people and their families.

Professional Development Opportunities

As an MST Clinical Supervisor, you'll engage in a transformative training model that goes beyond traditional reflective practice. Our structured supervision system includes comprehensive clinical training, weekly group and individual supervision, and a rigorous on-the-job learning plan. Supervisors consistently report significant growth in their expertise, equipping them to lead with confidence and drive systemic change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly group and individual supervision to ensure MST model adherence and clinician competency.
  • Manage a caseload of 1–2 families, delivering evidence-based systemic interventions.
  • Oversee MST program planning, administration, and budget, driving continuous quality improvement.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders (e.g., youth justice, schools) to enhance program impact.
  • Support clinician development through training, skill assessments, and tailored strategies.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of clinical outcomes and adherence data via the MSTI website.
  • Promote MST to stakeholders and manage referrals and caseloads for program efficiency.
  • Contribute to clinical governance, policy development, and team recruitment.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualifications: Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Psychology, Social Work, or related field, with registration or eligibility with a professional body (e.g., AASW, Psychology Board of Australia).
  • Experience: Extensive clinical expertise in treating youth offending behaviours using pragmatic family therapies, cognitive-behavioural therapy, and systemic interventions. Proven leadership in supervising multidisciplinary teams, including hiring and performance management.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of MST principles, behavioural therapies, and social learning theory. Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills, with a commitment to cultural responsiveness and organisational values of respect and inclusivity.
  • Additional Requirements: Valid Class C Driver's Licence, flexibility for 24/7 clinician support, willingness to travel, and compliance with criminal record and working with children checks.

What we offer

  • Generous salary packaging options (up to $15,900 per annum).
  • A mobile phone, laptop, and tool-of-trade vehicle.
  • A rostered day off per month.
  • Opportunities to work from home.
  • A supportive, multidisciplinary team and structured pathways for career growth.
