A Canberra-based Diplomatic Mission is seeking a motivated, creative, and highly organized individual to join the team as a Cultural Affairs & Events Coordinator.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of planning and executing embassy events, fostering collaborations with local organizations, and developing initiatives that strengthen cultural and community engagement. If you thrive on bringing people together and creating meaningful experiences, this is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact.
This is a full-time, permanent position in Canberra, offering a fantastic chance to grow your career in cultural diplomacy. A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in arts, culture, international relations, or related fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and manage embassy events, including cultural programs, receptions, official visits, and public initiatives.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with local governments, universities, cultural institutions, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
- Initiate and implement collaborative projects and cultural programs that promote engagement and outreach.
- Support artists, cultural figures, and community groups to participate in festivals, exhibitions, and embassy-led events.
- Act as a liaison between the Embassy and external partners, ensuring smooth coordination and communication.
- Assist with general administrative tasks to support the effective running of the team.
