We are looking for a highly skilled Wintel Security Engineer to join our client's cloud security team. This role focuses on securing Windows-based environments, ensuring robust infrastructure protection, and supporting secure cloud operations within Microsoft Azure. You'll play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across on-premises and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement security solutions for Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022) and Azure workloads.
  • Harden Wintel infrastructure including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance issues across Wintel and Azure platforms.
  • Manage endpoint protection, patching, and configuration baselines using tools like Microsoft Defender, SCCM, and Intune.
  • Collaborate with cloud and infrastructure teams to secure hybrid environments and enforce security policies.
  • Implement and maintain Azure security services including Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Key Vault, and Azure Policy.
  • Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability scans across Wintel and Azure assets.
  • Develop and maintain security documentation, procedures, and technical standards

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Wintel engineering with a strong focus on security.
  • Solid understanding of Windows Server architecture, Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with Azure IaaS/PaaS security, identity management, and cloud governance.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
  • Hands-on experience with endpoint protection, patch management, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across network, server, and cloud environments.
  • Relevant certifications such as 
    AZ-500
    , 
    SC-200
    , 
    Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
    , or 
    Security+
     are highly desirable
