Position Objective
Karadi Aboriginal Corporation is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for individuals passionate about a career in health, community services or aged care. Our Trainee Pathways Program provides hands-on experience and professional development in a supportive and culturally inclusive environment. Completion times for qualifications vary, typically ranging from 6 to 12 months, assessed individually for each participant.
· Support trainees to complete a qualification in health, community services, or aged care.
· Provide hands-on experience within an Aboriginal Health Organisation.
· Equip trainees with the skills and knowledge required to move into their chosen health, community services or aged care fields.
Role:
· Work within an Aboriginal Health Organisation.
· Engage in tasks and projects that support community health and wellbeing.
· Complete a chosen qualification.
Support:
· Mentorship and training from experienced professionals.
· Assistance with accessing services such as Services Australia, job-ready training (e.g., Working with Vulnerable People checks, First Aid).
· Support connecting with recruitment providers.
Responsibilities
· Undertake and complete a traineeship in health, community services or aged care.
· Assist in delivering health and community services.
· Participate in community outreach and engagement activities.
· Support the implementation of health programs and initiatives.
· Collaborate with team members to provide high-quality care.
· Perform administration duties.
Selection Criteria
· Must be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person, identify as Aboriginal, and be accepted as such by the community in which you live or have lived.
· Passionate about health, community services or aged care.
· Strong communication skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a team.
· Commitment to learning and professional growth.
