Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Diesel Mechanic, based in the Sunshine Coast, QLD spending a majority of time onsite. You will be responsible for performing equipment maintenance, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing a state of the art fleet of excavators, drill rigs plus other plant and machinery. Responsibilities also include conducting preventive maintenance to ensure operational safety and efficiency, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and working on heavy equipment systems. The role is suited for individuals who are detail-oriented and proactive in maintaining high-performance standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Diesel Mechanics, Heavy Equipment, and Vehicle Maintenance
  • Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
  • Relevant certifications, trade qualifications, or vocational training in diesel mechanics or heavy vehicle maintenance are highly beneficial
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to industry regulations
  • A yeam player with a pro active can do attitude
