As our Traffic Management Design Officer, you will:

  • Develop and manage Traffic Management Plans (TMP) and Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) for Council projects.
  • Assess and approve TMP/TGS submissions for internal and external works.
  • Investigate and resolve community concerns about traffic management.
  • Audit and certify works for compliance with standards and safety.
  • Liaise with residents, contractors, and government agencies.
  • Contribute to a positive, multi-skilled team environment.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

What You will Bring

  • Certificate IV in Civil Construction (essential)
  • Traffic Management Design qualification (Main Roads, essential)
  • General Construction Induction (White Card)
  • QLD "C" Class Driver's Licence (or ability to transfer interstate licence)
  • Experience investigatingand resolving traffic management issues
  • Strong communication, research, and technical reporting skills
  • Proficiency in RapidPlan software
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and AustRoads guides

Desirable

  • Experience with CAD drafting and spreadsheets
  • Understanding of Council's risk management framework
