Your Health General Practice is seeking an experienced medical receptionist to join our team. We are a family owned and operated general practice located in Erindale Chambers in Wanniassa and are looking for a casual medical receptionist to work 2 days per week, with the option to convert to a permanent position.

About us:

Your Health General Practice opened in early July 2025 and provides a range of medical services to the local community, including chronic disease management, general health checks, vaccinations and minor procedures. We currently have 2 part time GPs and are open Monday to Friday.

About the role:

Your role as medical receptionist will involve:

  • Welcoming patients to the clinic in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answering the telephone
  • Scheduling appointments and managing the practice's appointment book
  • Responding to emails
  • Processing payments and managing Medicare, DVA and Workcover claims
  • Handling patient enquiries and liaising with medical staff, patients and their families as required
  • Scanning and filing documents
  • Ensuring the waiting room is well-organised and presentable

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced as a medical receptionist in a general practice setting, and in particular working with Best Practice and an understanding of billing through the Medicare Benefit Schedule
  • Confident with using and learning new computer systems
  • A good communicator, friendly and with great customer service skills
  • Reliable
  • Able to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Available for an immediate start
