WHS Officer – Agriculture

FarmRight Asset Management Australia (FAMA) manages Australian agricultural assets on behalf of institutional investors. We are seeking an experienced and proactive part time WHS Officer to join our dynamic team in Grange, Brisbane. In this role, you'll work collaboratively our external specialist safety consultants, on farm operations and property managers and People and Culture manager in ensuring workplace safety, compliance, and fostering a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and implement WHS policies, ensuring compliance and best practices across the organisation

  • In conjunction with our safety consultants, conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations, driving continuous improvement

  • Assist on farm managers with implementing safety improvements

  • In conjunction with our safety consultants, develop and deliver safety training programs to empower our teams including our annual Crisis Management Scenario and training

  • Work closely with leadership and on farm teams to embed a strong safety-first culture

  • Support environmental management and QA initiatives

  • Coordinating training with our People & Culture manager

What You'll Bring:

  • Cert IV in WHS

  • Proven experience in WHS roles with a solid understanding of safety legislation and compliance requirements

  • Experience in safety in agriculture, or similar industry, would be advantageous

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage teams

  • Experience with safety software

  • Great time management and an organised approach

  • A good eye for detail and a practical problem solving
