About Us

Sampson Racing is a growing stable based at Kembla Grange, committed to high performance, care, and consistency. We're looking for a reliable person to join our morning team and help keep the horses in top shape.

Hours: 5:30 am – 7:30 am, six days per week (Monday to Saturday preferred)

Duration: 2 hours each morning

Start date: As soon as possible

Location: Kembla Grange, NSW

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of horse boxes (mucking out, washing down, bedding, ensuring water supply)
  • Assist with watering, feeding (if needed)
  • Support with saddling, prepping horses for track work
  • Lead / handle horses to / from stables and track (while exercising / in work)
  • General hands-on horse care, ensuring safe, calm handling
  • Maintain stable equipment, hoses, buckets, etc.

What We're Looking For

  • Horse experience is a must — prior work in stables, handling, grooming, riding, or track work preferred
  • Ideally holds (or willing to obtain) NSW Racing Stablehand / Track-Work License / certification
  • Punctuality, reliability, consistency — horses in race work demand consistency
  • Physical fitness, willingness to work outdoors in early mornings
  • Calm, observant, safe with horses
  • Ability to work independently in morning shift
  • A team player attitude and capacity to learn
