Warehouse Operator / Storeperson*
to join our Cairns team and help keep our warehouse and customer operations running smoothly.

In this dynamic role, you'll play a key part in supporting our customers and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our Trade Centre. From managing stock and tinting paint to assisting with deliveries and documentation, your attention to detail and commitment to service excellence will help uphold AkzoNobel's reputation for quality and reliability.

*What You'll Be Doing:*

• Assist in the day-to-day operations including picking and packing, mixing colours to exact specifications and preparing goods for transport.
• Load and unload vehicles safely using a forklift or manual handling techniques.
• Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts, helping to maintain inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies early.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service through effective communication, accuracy, and handling of stock within the centre.
• Process documentation such as Dangerous Goods paperwork, delivery dockets, and consignment notes.
• Support the Trade Centre Manager with data entry, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate with suppliers and logistics partners to coordinate deliveries, resolve issues, and ensure timely stock replenishment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free environment by following all health, safety, and environmental protocols, including immediate response to spills and routine equipment checks.

*What You Need to Have:*

• Previous experience in a warehouse or trade centre environment desirable.
• Strong focus on safety, with good physical fitness and a proactive attitude.
• A valid forklift license and experience operating a counterbalance forklift.
• Experience using CRM/ERP systems such as SAP or similar.
• Good physical fitness and health.
• A driven, self-motivated personality.
• Excellent planning, organising, and time management skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
