Senior Project Officer

• Open to Australian Aboriginal Peoples and Adelaide University employees only
• Full-time, two (2) year fixed term contract based in the Future Industries Institute at the Mawson Lakes campus
• Salary range: $103,583 – $116,068 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About you

You are an experienced project manager with a strong track record in delivering complex initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and strategic reporting. You bring expertise in planning, executing, and reviewing projects aligned with institutional goals, particularly within research and innovation environments. Skilled in developing project systems, managing costings, and producing high-level reports, you foster collaborative relationships across academic, industry, and internal teams

About the role

The Senior Project Officer will work closely with the iLAuNCH leadership team, University node lead, University project research leads, industry partners and stakeholders to guide, develop and manage the operational tasks of the Innovative Launch, Automation, Novel Materials, Communications and Hypersonics (iLAuNCH) Trailblazer. The University is one of three Australian universities collaborating under the Federally funded iLAuNCH Trailblazer program, tasked with building Australia's sovereign space capability by addressing critical gaps and accelerating development of a space technology sector.

The Senior Project Officer will also provide support to other project and development opportunities relevant to Unit and Institute strategic directions as required.

To be successful you will need

• Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline with subsequent relevant experience, or equivalent extensive skills with demonstrated analytical ability, and knowledge
• Demonstrated experience in project management in a research setting
• Demonstrated ability to identify areas of risk and inefficiency in existing practices
• Demonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint, and other tools to support quality control, project, and information management
• Highly developed communication and interpersonal communication skills
