A unique position within our legendary team doesn't come along often… We are seeking an outgoing and personable Senior Physiotherapist with a passion to put their visions into practice and assist us in designing a unique therapy space.
With the aid of the Principal Physiotherapist, you will provide your clinical expertise to shape the environment of our therapy spaces and assist in providing targeted mentoring to our Physiotherapy team.

This role is suited to individuals who are passionate to work with adults with physical disabilities and those enjoying their golden years, providing you a mix of the clientelle you will support. The opportunity allows for you to work not just in a clinical and mentoring capacity, but to aid the Principal Physiotherapist with continuing to design a clinic space tailored to neuro-rehab.
You will be paid in hours worked - develop your own roster pattern to maintain work/life balance and optimise variety in your caseload. Great for those looking for part time employment or wanting some more flexibility to achieve meaningful work/ life balance.
This role is suited only to experienced therapists due to the knowledge needed to mentor our team, whilst providing clinical expertise to shape our clinical environment. This role is permanent part time (0.4 to 0.6 FTE) with you choosing your pattern of work.
Your Role Will Include:
A very flexible case load of mixed clinical presentations from a variety of funding bodies, largely supporting adults with physical disabilities (community and clinic based) and overseeing out team of physiotherapists supporting geriatric clientelle in a RACF. Our team also work in the occupational health space, so depending on your skillset and preferences for scope of practice, this area of work could also be intertwined.
Your role may include a mixture of:
- Rehabilitation in home or in clinic for adults with physical disabilities (largely neuro). Our gym is equipped with the ONLY gait training ceiling hoist in South Australia so we are very fortunate to be able to make such an impact for those with neuro/ orthopaedic conditions where goals exist around returning to an ambulatory capacity.
- Maintenance therapy, similarly, for adults with disabilities and geriatric individuals. We also have a number of great community locations we use for therapy such as Bounce (rock climbing/ ninga course)
- Equipment Prescription - including teaming up with providers to do wheelchair scripting and scripting custom equipment.
- Manual handling assessments/ manual handling plans
- Opportunity to work in our OHS sector providing specialised Hazardous Manual Task training, ergonomic assessments etc
- Assisting the Principal Physiotherapist with ad hoc mentoring of the physiotherapy team
- Assisting the Principal Physiotherapist in designing and implementing clinic spaces for neuro rehab.
- Attending a variety of in house and external CPD opportunities

Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum - Bachelor of Physiotherapy or Masters of Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and AHPRA registration - no limited registration.
- At least 5 years in the profession and 2 years working in the NDIS framework
- At least 2 - 3 years working with clientelle affected by neurological conditions
- Australian citizenship/ right to work in Australia
- Australian drivers licence
Desired Requirements:
- Experience working under the AN-ACC framework and RTWSA framework
- Experience prescribing equipment and doing therapy with individuals who have physical needs - in particular progressive neurological and cognitive conditions
- Experience with assessing manual handling requirements and the development of manual handling plans
Required To Work:
- Police clearance (issued within last 3 years)
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening (we can initiate this)
- Flu vaccination for 2025 season

Our organisation was established in Adelaide in 1998, originally providing occupational health services. Our team's scope has diversified since this time and we now also work heavily in community and residential settings providing quality person centred supports to younger adults and older Australians, supporting the more complex spectrum of physical supports in the SA community. We operate under 2 brands 'Equipt To Thrive', supporting adults with disability and geriatric individuals. We also operate under 'Safe Work Practice', providing preventative occupational health services such as Hazardous Manual Tasks training, train the trainer, ergonomic assessment, job dictionaries etc.
We are a strong team of 7 Occupational Therapists (inlcuding a Principal and Senior), 6 physiotherapists (including a Principal and 2 seniors), 4 therapy assistants and 2 therapy coordinators.
We have an office in Mawson Lakes (if you choose to use it) to provide you space to perform administrative duties, enjoy great coffee and snacks or you may prefer to work from home. We have an AMAZING clinic fit out including a gym space comprising of the only gait training ceiling hoist in South Australia but need your help to design some new and upcoming spaces for our allied health team.
