The key duties of the position include:

In the Australian Border Force (ABF), an APS2 could perform a range of tasks across domains and functions including Airports, seaports, mail centres, cargo facilities, District Offices, immigration detention facilities and Regional Command centres.

  • Provide general administrative support, including clearing people, goods, carriers and immigration functions
  • Prepare supporting documentation
  • Deal with client and stakeholder enquiries
  • Respond to counter enquiries
  • Perform a range of general supporting tasks
Eligibility

To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.

​The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance, and:

  • ABF Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
  • Home Affairs Workers will also be required to obtain and maintain an Onboarding Check.
