Help us deliver like never before
Australia Post is delivering like never before. From the vehicles that we drive, to the small businesses that make our communities thrive. We're delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and our people. We're moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.
About the opportunity
The Senior Network Optimisation Manager plays a pivotal role in enhancing the performance of our end-to-end network. Leading a team of analysts, you'll identify and implement opportunities to improve network flow, reduce cost to serve, and optimise delivery media – all while ensuring customer experience, safety, and sustainability remain at the forefront.
With responsibility for analysing network data and forecasting future needs, you'll help shape the design of our processes, facilities, network flow and transportation assets. Collaboration is key, as you'll partner across Operations, Customer Experience, and Enterprise Services to deliver innovation, support strategic improvements, and drive the best use of our infrastructure and assets.
What you'll deliver with us
As our Senior Network Optimisation Manager, you'll drive improvements across our end-to-end network, using data-driven insights to shape smarter, safer, and more sustainable outcomes for our customers and communities, while leading and developing a high-performing team.
You will:
- Lead end-to-end analysis of network performance, cost drivers, and service impacts to identify optimisation opportunities.
- Build and present robust business cases with clear financial, customer, safety, and sustainability outcomes.
- Partner with stakeholders across the enterprise to validate findings and ensure practical implementation.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing insights and influencing senior leaders on strategic network decisions.
- Foster a culture of safety, customer focus, and continuous improvement within the team and wider function.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing team of analysts, setting clear goals and supporting career growth.
About you
You're a strategic, blue-sky thinker with a strong track record in supply chain and network optimisation. Commercially astute and highly collaborative, you're confident influencing at senior levels and passionate about driving meaningful, measurable change.
You will have:
- 10+ years' experience in supply chain, logistics, or network optimisation, with proven results in cost reduction and efficiency.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to use data and financial tools to guide decisions.
- The ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders across complex organisations.
- A deep understanding of transport, processing, and network operations, as well as experience supporting systems and technologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead through influence and deliver cross-functional outcomes.
How we'll deliver for you
- Join one of the most culturally and linguistically diverse workforces in Australia, with people of all ages, genders and walks of life
- We deliver on our values of Trust, Inclusivity, Empowerment and Safety every day. They're the TIES that bind our team together
- Immerse yourself in the AP Way – where every single team member partakes in a learning module to help understand the vital role we play in delivering on our strategy and purpose
