The opportunity:

Fitness & Lifestyle Group (FLG) is looking for a Modern Workplace & Cloud Engineer to manage and evolve FLG's Azure infrastructure and modern workplace environment, facilitating our shift to Salesforce. Drive our operational improvements to ensure the security of FLG's entire fleet of endpoints throughout Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.

Join our dynamic IT team to optimise Azure operations, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient cloud solutions. You'll collaborate with IT and business leaders to implement identity and access management (IAM), endpoint security, and collaboration platforms while spearheading automation and compliance for our Salesforce ecosystem. Your expertise will shape innovative practices and fuel continuous improvement, making a lasting impact on FLG's success.

Key duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Cloud Infrastructure & Azure Operations

• Design, build, and manage secure, scalable Azure environments for business systems and virtual desktops.
• Plan, test, and deploy cloud improvements, including cost optimisation

Modern Workplace & Security

• Administer Microsoft 365 services (Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Conditional Access, identity governance).
• Backup for Senior Modern Workplace & Security Lead (Defender for Cloud, SOC integrations, endpoint protection)

Identity & Access Management (IAM)

• Deploy and manage enterprise IAM systems for security and compliance.
• Perform SAML/OpenID integrations and support migrations to cloud-based directory services.

Collaboration & Support

• Work with IT stakeholders to deliver secure, user-friendly solutions.

• Provide Tier 2/3 support for cloud and workplace platforms

Additional Responsibilities & Technologies

• Manage Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and global secure access.

• Design and implement Azure networking (VNets, subnets, NSGs, Virtual WAN, etc.).

About you:

Skills and experience:

• A few years' experience in a similar role.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, cloud networking, and high-availability environments.
• Proficient in monitoring, reporting, scripting (PowerShell, Python), and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with SD-WAN (e.g., Cisco Meraki), CI/CD tools, and containerized applications (Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, software-based firewalls, and configuration management.

What you'll bring:

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience managing ERP systems, with at least 5 years focused on the Workday suite.
• Deep knowledge of Workday modules (HCM, Finance, Payroll, etc.) and integration technologies (e.g., Workday Studio, EIB, Workday Web Services).
• Demonstrated experience with enterprise architecture and ERP governance frameworks.
• Proven track record in delivering large-scale ERP projects on time and within budget.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience in managing a team of ERP functional or technical specialists

Beneficial:

• Workday Pro certification or equivalent Workday partner training.
• Experience in retail industries.
• Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies and modern DevOps practices.
