The Job Role

Our client, ERINFAIR PTY LTD T/AS Bunbury Farmers Markets seeks experienced Cooks/Chefs to work with the kitchen team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate understanding of food preparation and production in the kitchen whilst taking direction from the Head Chef to ensure smooth operation of all kitchen duties.
  • Ensures the consistency of all menu items regardless of time of day or period of service
  • Liaising with kitchen staff to achieve smooth delivery of food to guests
  • Operation of kitchen equipment to achieve required results for ala carte and function service
  • Work with the Head Chef to advance and improve current food operations
  • Has understanding of stock control and works together with the kitchen team to minimize wastage
  • Compliance and understanding of food safety policy and procedures (HACCP)

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous commercial kitchen experience is required for these roles – ideally at least 2 years of experience
  • All relevant experience will be considered and for applicants with a relevant Australian trade certificate or qualification / training, less experience will be considered
  • A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude and ability to work well in a team
  • The ability to excel under pressure in a high-volume environment with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Well-developed communication and team skills
  • Attention to detail with a focus on consistency

Salary

The Annual Salary is between $73,150 - $80,000 commensurate to qualifications, skills, & experience.
