Yargan is in search of a highly motivated individual eager to advance their career within a tier-one mining company. We are seeking an experienced Project Planner to join our clients Project Controls team based in Perth.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual looking to progress their career within a supportive team environment. With an exciting portfolio of projects, you will assist the project controls team in delivering effective project planning to ensure the successful execution of projects.

About the role-
As a Project Planner, you will support the coordination, evaluation, and prioritisation of project planning activities. You will play a key role in ensuring project schedules are developed, maintained, and accurately reported, contributing to the successful delivery of our client's capital projects.

  • Assist in the creation, maintenance, and reporting of detailed project schedules

  • Support the integrity of integrated project schedules across multiple work fronts

  • Participate in schedule review meetings and implement schedule updates

  • Contribute to the development of progress and commodity curves

  • Assist in the analysis and reporting of schedule performance and project progress

  • Collaborate with cost engineering and estimating teams to assess the impact of changes

  • Help ensure compliance with standardised project controls processes, tools, and systems

  • Maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including contractors

Requirements for the role:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience project planning

  • Experience in brown field projects

  • Rio Tinto inducted

  • Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring team members

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with a focus on Excel, Word, and Microsoft Project

  • Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6

  • Proactive and well-organised, with a strong focus on collaboration and achieving results.
