Mader Group is expanding our leadership team in the Bowen Basin and we're seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to drive performance, safety and technical excellence across a high-paced maintenance workshop.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a skilled crew, optimise maintenance delivery and play a key role in supporting our client's heavy mobile equipment fleet.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of workshop operations, including:

  • Safety Leadership – Champion proactive safety culture, lead toolbox talks, hazard identification and ensure compliance with Mader and client safety systems.
  • Planning & Scheduling – Oversee daily and weekly maintenance plans, allocate labour, coordinate resources and support efficient work execution.
  • Maintenance Oversight – Support diagnostic work, repair quality, component change-outs and ensure all work meets OEM and Mader standards.
  • Reporting & Compliance – Manage work orders, maintain accurate records, track progress and deliver timely operational reporting.
  • Team Leadership & Mentoring – Provide guidance, coaching and development for tradespeople and apprentices.
  • Stakeholder Communication – Work closely with operations, planning, contractors and internal leaders to ensure workflow alignment.
  • Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to improve workshop processes, equipment availability and cost efficiency.
\What You'll Bring
  • Trade qualification in Engineering (Diesel Fitting) or Mobile Plant Technology
  • Prior supervisory or leading hand experience in mining or heavy industry
  • S1, S2, S3
  • Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills
