About the role
Are you a skilled administrator with a passion for supporting education? TAFE Gippsland is seeking an enthusiastic Education Administrator to provide high level support to our Hospitality, Hair and Beauty teaching teams. In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with the Head of Department, educators and fellow administrative staff to implement efficient administrative procedures and enhance the student experience. Your work will involve collaboration across multiple departments including Client Services and Academic Registry, to ensure every student's journey is smooth, supported and successful. As a key contact point, you'll help maintain the efficiency and compliance of operations, upholding both organisational and legislative standards. You are an enthusiastic and capable professional with a broad range of administrative skills and a strong commitment to excellence. You bring a proven ability to work effectively within a team, while also building strong relationships and fostering collaboration across various business units. Your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills enable you to confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally. You demonstrate initiative, approach challenges with practical problem-solving skills, and maintain a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in every task. With solid proficiency in technology, including the Microsoft Office suite, databases, and student management systems, you also possess outstanding data entry capabilities that support efficient and reliable administration.
Qualifications and experience

Substantial high level administrative experience (at least 3 years) preferably within the education sector would be advantageous

Post secondary level qualification in a business administration or customer service-related field would be treated favourably

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Ability to demonstrate initiative and proactive approach

Current Victorian Working with Children Clearance

Current Police Check (no older than 12 months old)

Current Driver's Licence (some travel between campuses may be required)
A 6-month probationary period applies to the role
